In 1998, three home school families decided to pool their ideas, resources, and talents to birth an academically challenging, biblically-based classical school which honored the primary role of parents in the education of their children. They started the first year in 1999 of what was then called Flower Mound Classical Christian School with 57 students in grades 6 through 12.

In 2002, the school changed its name to Coram Deo Academy with means “…in the presence of God.” That same year, the grades were expanded to K-12. Over the next 4 years, Coram Deo Academy opened two additional campuses in the DFW Metroplex, becoming the first fully classical school district in the North Texas metropolitan area.

Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, this family-owned and operated diner has been cooking up something delicious since 2015. Dix Coney Island is a community icon, serving diner-style dishes that tackle the taste buds and leave customers thirsty for more.

Voted Best of Denton 2016 a year after their opening, and again in 2022, both for Best Late Night Eats, this diner works hard to establish a prominent presence in the Denton community, including being one of the few places that remained operating throughout the 2020-2021 Texas freeze. Not wanting to risk the lives of their employees, the family cooked and served meals to the community to ensure residents of Denton didn’t go hungry.

Dine In. Indulge. Delight.

Opening in early March of this year, Royal Yum is Denton’s newest Thai eatery offering delectable dishes from cultures all over the world. Owner and culinary mastermind, Suphanee Elzubeir, has tediously curated a menu that showcases her talent for cooking, dating back to 2011 when she cooked and personally delivered lunchboxes to colleagues and customers who kept coming back for more.

In 2018, Suphanee found Thai Ocha and, using her UNT degree and global entrepreneurial experience, grew the restaurant’s revenue from $600K to $1.3M. From that success blossomed Suphanee’s desire to expand and invest in her passion, thus Royal YUM was founded.

Thai-food lovers and food fanatics alike can expect carefully crafted dishes that utilize bold flavors and aromatic spices to tell a story distinct to each culture. Already on the menu are dishes such as Chuchee Curry, Salmon Ka Prao, Neua Pad Prik, Pad Thai, and much, much more!
