MEET OUR TEAM: ASHTON YOUNG!
The Scott Brown Commercial (SBC) team is built from an array of dynamic faces and personalities, all of whom contribute to constantly surpassing our company goals and ensure the business owners of Denton County meet theirs. More than just real estate, a benefit of working with Scott Brown Commercial is the dedicated team members who make up our Property Management Group, including one of our Commercial Property Managers, Ashton.
Ashton signed onto Scott Brown Group in 2019 as part of the residential Real T Team, working tirelessly to bring clients their dream home. She enjoyed the satisfaction of locating the perfect residential property and interacting with members of the Denton community.
In the summer of 2022, Ashton finally made the switch to the commercial management team of SBC, bringing with her 13+ years of knowledge and experience garnered from her start and time at Stream Realty. Ashton was eager to utilize her expertise in the industry and connections within the county to guarantee that every business owner has what they need to succeed.

Q: What’s your favorite aspect of working at SBC?
A: The people. Everyone is laid back, efficient, and nice to be around!
Q: Do you prefer reading the book or watching the movie adaptation?
A: Reading the book. Ashton’s Book-to-Movie Adaptation Recommendation: Where the Crawdads Sing.
Q: If you could use one word to describe the SBC team, what would it be?
A: Growth - We are constantly improving our processes and growing within the community to provide our clients and tenants with the best in commercial real estate and management.
Q: What’s your favorite genre of music?
A: 80s and 90s country
Q: What makes SBC stand out from our competitors?
A: We have an efficient and dedicated staff that is readily available to tenants. Having reliable connections within the Denton community helps us deliver our clients and tenant’s needs quickly.
Q: What do your Friday evening look like?
A: In the autumn, I’m usually headed to the deer lease with my family. In the summer, you can find me at a bar patio enjoying some great beverages.
Q: What is your favorite SBC property?
A: 3401 E University Drive in Denton. It’s currently undergoing a great transformation and has a lot to offer prospective tenants, including a great location and ample space!
Q: What’s your favorite hobby?
A: Canning - My top three items are relish, whiskey peach jam, and salsa.
Q: If you could only eat one thing for Thanksgiving, what would it be?
A: Fried turkey! My dad fries turkeys for our neighbors the morning of and our family’s right before dinner time.
Other Fun Facts: Ashton engages in the community by volunteering with Denton County CASA, an organization that champions the safety and wellbeing of children Denton. Though located in the heart of Texas, Ashton is an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.
